The Commonwealth Government has contributed an extra $150 million to assist family and domestic violence response during COVID-19.
An initial $150 million will be provided to support those experiencing family and sexual violence.
Funding to services includes:
- Counselling support for families affected by, or at risk of experiencing family violence including men’s behaviour change programs
- 1800RESPECT, the national domestic, family and sexual violence counselling service
- Mensline Australia, the national counselling service for men that provides support for emotional health and relationship concerns for men affected by or considering using violence.
