Event Details
Case management with men using family violence is an increasingly critical intervention across child protection responses, correctional services, men’s behaviour change programs and court diversion programs. Case management can be provided either face to face, online or by telephone and requires skill and responses that pay attention to victim survivor safety and wellbeing. This unique training will provide case managers with the following important knowledge and skills:
1. A definition of case management in the context of working with men using family violence that treat the safety and wellbeing of impacted family members as a critical aspect of practice.
2. An understanding of case management presentations and referral pathways
3. Ability to engage with men using a goal-oriented approach using the SMART model
4. Confidence in the use of the case planning and case monitoring tools required in case management practice
5. Identify and practice the characteristics of high-quality case notes in the use of case planning and case monitoring.
