Would you like to be able to provide better support for tenants experiencing a housing crisis as a result of Family Violence?

Using the Family Violence Protection Act 2008 (FVPA) in conjunction with the Residential Tenancies Act 1997, the training will examine how to provide support and protection for tenants that may, due to family violence issues:

  • Be at risk of becoming homeless
  • Need to break a lease to move to more secure accommodation
  • Want to take over the lease of their current property
  • Be fearful of being made accountable for damage to a property despite no longer residing at the home
  • Be required to attend a hearing at the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal

The workshop also includes a real-life case study involving lease break due to family violence.
