Event Details

Of all the different forms and tactics of men’s use of violence against intimate partners, sexual violence is one of the most difficult to work with. Men rarely want to talk about sexual violence, making it difficult for group facilitators and other men’s behaviour change practitioners to help them take responsibility for this behaviour.

This workshop will firstly explore women’s rights to sexual autonomy as a more nuanced concept rather than a narrow focus on sexual consent. This will be followed by an opportunity for men’s behaviour change practitioners to share their existing approaches and practice tips towards inviting men to understand and take responsibility for their use of sexual violence, and to extend this practice in a facilitated and skill-sharing environment.

Location: Details to be confirmed upon registration.
