Event Details

This short course aims to introduce existing community services practitioners, and other interested people, to the specialised work of men’s behaviour change programs and provide the fundamental knowledge and skills for practitioners to commence working as a men’s behaviour change practitioner.

This 4-day short course is designed as an introductory training package for new men’s behaviour change practitioners.

The short course provides a detailed understanding of the dynamics of men’s family violence and the key principles for working with men towards behaviour change. It equips participants with the knowledge and skills required to engage, assess and work with men using family violence.

Completion of the 4-day short course, combined with observation of 4 MBC sessions, will provide NTV/MRS recognition as a level one Men’s Behaviour Change group facilitator and provide a solid entry point into other practitioner roles.
