Introduction to Preventing Violence against Women

This is an introductory/refresher session on the key concepts related to the prevention of violence against women, as outlined by Change the Story. It is aimed at those new to these concepts or whose work usually focusses on other areas. The session will cover prevalence and impacts of violence against women, the gendered drivers of violence against women, the link between preventing violence against women and gender equity, key actions to prevent violence against women, policy context and local initiatives. It is open to staff from organisations in the northern metropolitan region.
