Event Details

The Overcoming Indigenous Family Violence Forum provides a platform for the key decision makers in the family violence space to share their ideas, programs and initiatives and tackle one of the most pressing challenges facing Indigenous communities. These include current government programs, lessons from the frontline of tackling Indigenous family violence, the importance of engaging community Elders, long-term behavioural change for perpetrators, policing and justice and protecting children and youth.
Develop knowledge of therapeutic services for family violence survivors; ensure effective delivery of evidence-based programs for Indigenous Australians; engage appropriate stakeholders in implementing community-driven family violence programs and combine Western clinical methods with Aboriginal culture and lore to achieve long-term behaviour change for perpetrators of violence.
Developed with community, for community.
Participants can access all the content remotely.
