Have you considered the impact of commonly held societal beliefs on victim/survivors of sexual assault?

Do you feel competent when someone discloses her experience of sexual assault to you?

Are you equipped with accurate information and skills to respond appropriately to a victim/survivor?

Do you know how to effectively support and advocate for a victim/survivor?

This one day workshop is designed to assist those working with victim/survivors of sexual assault who have not had the opportunity to access training previously. It is also suitable for students. The aims of this workshop include encouraging participants to examine the nature and consequences of sexual assault and to develop an understanding of the key principles relevant to providing an effective response. Participants will be provided with information relating to appropriate referral options and the supports available for those working with victim/survivors of sexual assault.
