Based on the finding of the recently published research by Monash University in collaboration within inTouch Multicultural Centre Against Family Violence and Monash Gender and Family Violence, inTouch is holding a practice forum on working with women on temporary visas who are subject to family violence.

The forum will feature presentations from:

  • Marie Segrave, Monash University, author Temporary Migration and Family Violence: An analysis of victimisation, vulnerability and support: findings of report
  • Luba Tanevski, Migration Agent, inTouch: the practicalities for workers supporting women on temporary visas
  • inTouch on why immigration status matters in the context of family violence and it’s impact on support and advocacy for women.

The forum is suitable for managers, team leaders and front line worked from the family violence sector and related services
