Event Details

This one day interactive training is aimed at mainstream/universal service providers who are seeking to strengthen their practice in building and sustaining relationships with CALD clients. The training enables participants to reflect on their own and their clients’ cultural context and examine how these may impact on the worker/client relationships.

Learning Objectives:

  • Enhance the understanding of family violence in a CALD context
  • Develop an understanding of how culture and migration history affects clients’ capacity to seek and sustain support
  • Develop an understanding of how culture affects our perspective as workers
  • Develop an understanding on how to identify and respond to family violence in a CALD context
  • Safety planning and refering to support services

Due to high demand only two staff per organisation can attend.
