Event Details
Over four hours of online training delivered in two modules, practitioners will be supported to understand the NDIS and build the confidence to support victim-survivors with disability in navigating the NDIS on matters related to family violence in their day-to-day practice (including sexual assault in the context of family violence). Training attendees will also be introduced to a number of new practice tools related to the NDIS and family violence (including sexual assault in the context of family violence).
The training will be facilitated by:
- Keran Howe, consultant for DV Vic who is the former Head of Social Work at the Royal Woman’s Hospital, founding Executive Director of Women with Disabilities Victoria and longstanding advocate on issues related to women with disability; and
- Mark Ryan, senior training at CECFW who has been delivering NDIS training for almost 2 years.
