The Royal Commission into Family Violence recommended that the Victorian Government develop a Family Violence Index to bring together data from different areas to create a single measure designed to assess the impact of reforms.
The Government commissioned research and sought expert advice from the Australia’s National Research Organisation for Women’s Safety and the University of Melbourne, to help build the Family Violence Index.
The final report, including this summary, was launched on 13 June 2018. The findings of this report will be used to inform our work on developing a Family Violence Index.
