Flora Culpan, Hume Family Violence Network Convenor and Maree Foelz, Yarra Family Violence Network Convenors are leaving their positions.
Flora Culpan, Convenor of the Hume Family Violence Network and Family Violence Co-ordinator (Northern Community Legal Centre) is retiring after a significant career in the family violence sector. Flora has worked for more than two decades in the community legal sector.
Flora was a founder of the Week Without Violence in the northern metropolitan region (NMR) and has worked tirelessly supporting victim survivors and advocating on their behalf both individually and systemically including in relation to their court experience. Tania McKenna (Northern CLC) has taken over as Interim Coordinator for the Hume Family Violence Network.
Maree Foelz, Yarra Family Violence Network Convenor and Family Violence Partnerships Coordinator (Neighbourhood Justice Centre) is moving back to Queensland and taking up a role in a Courts Innovation Program. Maree has been another massive contributor to keeping the Week Without Violence vibrant and has been a wonderful connector between organisations and communities.
Local Family Violence Networks meet regularly in the NMR to connect services in their LGA who respond to family violence and drive the organisation of the Week Without Violence.
