On September 30, school-aged participants graduated from a respectful relationships program, undertaken as part of the Whittlesea-based Hamdel project.
Hamdel is an Our Watch funded prevention of violence against women program that is led by Whittlesea Community Connections, in partnership with Salvation Army Crossroads and Women’s Health In the North. The project involves work with the newly arrived Iranian community based in Whittlesea.
The respectful relationships component of the project used a modified version of the ‘Building Respectful Relationships’ curriculum.
