This year has been another busy one for the family violence sector. With the Victorian Family Violence Royal Commission and unprecedented interest in our sector at a regional, state and national level, services have been busily responding to public interest, as well as working hard to support women’s and children’s safety.
At the regional level, the new-look NIFVS Regional Integration Committee that began meeting at the start of the year is now embedded as a core part of family violence governance. Family Violence Regional Induction and NIFVS Forums exploring responses to children, men who use violence and CALD women were well received by workers across the region.
From all of us on the NIFVS coordination team, we applaud the incredible hard work of partners across the intergereted family violence service system and beyond. We wish you all a safe and happy holiday season and look forward to seeing you all back refreshed in 2016.
