The Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) has announced that Hume/Moreland is one of three launch sites for the implementation of the new housing and homelessness sector reform.
Brimbank/Melton and Inner Gippsland are the other two sites.
DHHS consultations in 2015 suggested that the launch sites will explore:
- improved and streamlined access to private rental
- a Victorian Housing Register
- choice-based letting
- an individualised and outcomes focussed approach to support.
