This month saw the launch of Overcoming Barriers, an online resource aimed at enhancing workers’ response to culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) women and children who have experienced family violence. Developed by the NIFVS Coordination Team, the toolkit draws together the expertise of service providers from across the Northern Metropolitan Region.
• engaging in anti-racist, human rights-based practice
• understanding structural and systemic barriers to help-seeking
• understanding the impact of trauma
• working with CALD children
The toolkit features video interviews with specialists from the Northern Metropolitan Region as well as a self-reflection tool.
