On Wednesday 23 March, nearly 90 workers from a range of sectors came together for our ‘Moving Towards Greater Collaboration’ forum to consider how cross sector work can improve the safety of women and children who have experienced family violence.
Participants heard from Catherine Plunkett, from Domestic Violence Victoria, about the core principles for collaboration and other learnings from the Risk Assessment Management Panels (RAMPs).
A panel of specialists working on innovative cross sector projects in the Northern Metropolitan Region then discussed the barriers and enablers to collaborative work.
“Fantastic speakers, really useful—passionate and engaging,” one participant said.
“The forum gave me ways to advocate for my own role to have dedicated collaboration hours and processes in place for case coordination.”
A forum summary, as well as the presentation slides from the day, are available on our website.
