The Police Accountability Project (PAP), located at Flemington & Kensington Legal Centre, is providing a free statewide service to family violence survivors who have experienced issues with police responses.
This includes duty failures by police in the context of family violence such as failure to investigate intervention order breaches, misidentification of the victim as perpetrator and other forms of discrimination.
PAP is a free, confidential and statewide service that can provide advice and support on police complaints, other legal options and advocacy.
Workers can refer or call to discuss a police complaint matter by calling the Police Complaints Advice Clinic line on 0401 090 833.
For any other inquiries about family violence police complaints work and training, please contact Erin Buckley at projectofficer@fkclc.org.au
