Seven projects have been funded in the northern metropolitan region (NMR) to provide intensive therapeutic support for women, children and their families experiencing family violence. VACCA has been funded to provide counselling for women, children and men impacted by family violence, therapeutic cultural healing groups, behaviour change programs with adolescent offenders and therapeutic interventions for women in prison.
The other organisations in the NMR that have received funding for therapeutic intervention projects are Berry Street, Children’s Protection Society, Drummond Street, Good Samaritan Inn and Adventure Works, Kildonan in partnership with Sunbury Community Health, inTouch and Foundation House, Melbourne City Mission, the Salvation Army and Westcare.
