An independent Review of the Family Violence Information Sharing Scheme (FVISS) is being conducted by the Monash Gender and Family Violence Prevention Centre, who have been contracted by Family Safety Victoria.
Input is being sought though surveys, interviews and focus groups to gain an accurate picture of the impacts of the FVISS and ways that it might be improved.
Workers are invited to participate in a survey regarding attitudes and practises in relation to FVISS.
Interviews are being conducted with managers to help understand the impacts of the scheme on organisations and ways that its operation can be improved. Contact Dr Kate Burns to participate.
A number of Focus Groups will be held in August and September. Contact Jasmine McGowan to participate.
Where: Monash Conference Centre, Level 7, 30 Collins Street Melbourne, VIC 3000
The Review will consider any adverse impacts or unintended consequences of the FVISS, as well as make recommendations to improve its operation. The findings of the Review will be tabled in Parliament in 2020 and may impact on family violence information sharing practice, policy and legislation.
