The Statewide rollout of RAMPs has been delayed as an information sharing platform is established to support their operation. An assessment is currently underway to apply for an information usage arrangement. The first of its kind in Victoria, this agreement will allow information sharing to secure statewide inter-agency agreements.
The existing pilot RAMP in Hume and the police led High Risk Case Conferencing in the North East DHHS area continue to operate in the north, ensuring ongoing risk assessment and management for high risk clients.
Statewide RAMP Development Officer Catherine Plunkett will focus on developing a training program and a roll-out plan for the core members of RAMPs. In the lead up to the implementation of RAMPS, a ‘community of practice’ will be established through The Lookout website where RAMP coordinators will be able to access practice tools for responding to cases of serious and imminent risk, as well as updates about the progress towards implementation.
Contact Catherine if you have any queries about RAMPs or the Strengthening Risk Management Program.
