Staff from the Support and Safety Hubs Service Design Branch at Department of Premier and Cabinet (DPC) met with representatives from family violence and family services intake points in the northern metropolitan region on 19 December 2016. The meeting built on previous NIFVS work with interviews of intake points, workshops regarding principles for Hubs and the DPC consult in Craigieburn in October 2016.
Attendees heard that the statewide concept will be developed in early 2017, with a focus on core features and minimum standards, before local design work occurs. It was recognised that the Hubs are a design challenge, but will also provide an opportunity for a unifying process for services on the ground.
