Women’s groups in Whittlesea have the opportunity to apply for one-off funding to support women from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds to build social connections, participate in community activities and prevent family violence at both an individual and community level.
Grants of up to $4,000 are available and can be used to start new women’s groups. Applicants will need to demonstrate that funds will be used for the benefit of City of Whittlesea residents from migrant and refugee backgrounds.
The grants part of the Whittlesea CALD Communities Family Violence Project, with support of Sunshine and Crocodiles PTY.
Guidelines and application forms are available online. Applications are due by 5pm November 18 2015. For more information, contact Claire on 9401 6655 or at firstname.lastname@example.org
