Lunch & Learn with It Left No Marks

The Northern Integrated Family Violence Services are hosting the next Lunch & Learn session on Tuesday 9 September at 12 pm!
Please join us for our next Lunch and Learn on Strangulation, Sexual Choking, and Brain Injury.
This session will be delivered by Jackie McMillan, Senior Project Officer at It Left No Marks and Women’s Health NSW who will speak to the latest research on non-fatal strangulation (NFS), sexual choking, and their link to acquired brain injury (ABI) in the context of domestic, family, and sexual violence.
This session explores the physiological impacts, warning signs, and the growing normalisation of strangulation and sexual choking, alongside practical considerations for identifying and responding to those affected.
Following a presentation, participants will have the opportunity engage in a Q&A to unpack how this applies to practice.
