Announcement: Appointment of NIFVS FVRIC Independent Chair

The Northern Integrated Family Violence Services (NIFVS) Family Violence Region Integration Committee (FVRIC) Leadership Group has undertaken focused strategic and action planning work and made a key strategic decision to engage an Independent Chair. This appointment is designed to uplift the mobilisation of actions at a leadership level, allowing us to achieve the key priorities for the NIFVS FVRIC (as outlined in the NIFVS FVRIC 2023-26 Strategic Plan and Rolling Annual Action Plan).

The NIFVS FVRIC Leadership Group would like to announce the appointment of Natalie Walker (she/they pronouns) to the position of NIFVS FVRIC Independent Chair. Natalie will take up this position as of Monday 6 October 2025.

Natalie joins the NIFVS FVRIC bringing with her a career focused across executive leadership, advocacy, and system design. Natalie has expertise and skills in building sophisticated and enduring partnership across sectors and perspectives, including law enforcement, government, peer workers and community, with a specific depth in the family violence sector. Natalie is well place to lead regional integration efforts that strengthen coordination, reinforce accountability, and embed lived experience across the northern metropolitan region and the family violence service system.

Natalie’s leadership approach is feminist and trauma informed. As the founding CEO of PartnerSPEAK, Natalie led a nationally recognised peer-informed service that influenced policy and practice across sectors and chaired multi-agency collaborations with stakeholders across the justice, sexual assault, and family violence sectors.

Natalie is thrilled to be joining the NIFVS FVRIC and is looking forward to, in partnership and collaboration, contributing to a regional structure that plays such a critical role in service system integration and reform.
