South Asian Men’s Behaviour Change Program
The group program, run by Uniting, covers the same content as mainstream Men’s Behaviour Change programs but also addresses cultural values and issues relating to migration that may be contributing factors in the men’s use of violence.
The group is facilitated by two experienced men’s behaviour change workers, at least one of whom is from South Asian background. Partner contact is provided by a female worker, also of South Asian background.
Men can self-refer into the program or may be referred by workers from other agencies, police or via the courts.
For more information about the Men’s Behaviour Change program, see the current northern region group work calendar.
